Kolhapur is prominently famous for the temple of Mahalaxmi goddess of wealth and prosperity, but the work of developments and social reforms initiated by Late Shri Shahu Maharaj is not gone unseen by the country, it is of no less grade and after him many people have followed his foot prints . Paras bhai oswal is one of them.

Shri Paras Bhomraj Oswal, popularly known as “Parasbhai” among those who have known him for some time know , is active in all fields of social life in the city of Kolhapur and a philanthropist. Although coming from a conservative Jain, Marwari family that has been traditionally carrying out goldsmith business, a more accommodative environment of Kolhapur city has influenced Shri Paras Oswal , to not only think but also to act beyond castes and religious boundaries.

In a very early age he mastered the art of bullion trade by personally carrying gold/silver ornaments to far flung places like Hyderabad. But he was destined to make a prominent mark in another trade of real estate where with a meager investment, completed his first project named as ‘Pooja Apartment’ having just 600 sq. ft. built-up area in the year 1986-87. After that there was no looking back. Since then he has completed more than 25 projects till the year March 2007. His projects have sheltered more than 500 happily living families in a very serene locality, close to the main city but away from noise. Among which Hari-Pooja & Bhakti Pooja take the major share. Making him the pioneer in township development.

After the grand success of 2 town ships and various other small & big projects , he is actively pursuing his plans of setting up an private industrial estate not only that he is stepping a foot ahead by planning to have an high tech IT park of its first kind in Kolhapur. I am sure this very project will broaden the scope of development by broadening the horizons of construction industry.

Shri Parasbhai Oswal has taken a leading part in the functioning of Promoters & Builders Association of Kolhapur. Not only that but development of Kolhapur is at his heart. It has always been his dream to see Kolhapur on the graph of success.

In the month of August 6th, 2007 they have been declared a " Rashtriya Nirman Rattan Award " for their social work activities like a field of Education, Religious or a financial aid / donation, etc. and in the architectural variety of constructing the projects. This award have been given by All India Achievers Foundation, New Delhi while the National Seminar & Awards Function were organized on 26th September, 2007 at Habitat Centre, New Delhi

Not only this but, the Pooja Builders & Developers have achieved one more target, i.e. recently an ISO 9001:2000 Certificate have been awarded by a renowned name of TUV Rheinland (India) Pvt. Ltd., Germany, and their branch office in India is at Bangalore. This Certificate have given for their Design and Quality of Construction of Residential as well as Commercial Projects.

Apart from being a success full business man there lies another side of Parasbhai more perhaps more fairer. He is an activist, a social reformer and a spiritual soul. That is what makes him a good businessman as it is said person having a wise soul and a true heart is never unsuccessful.

In this way the dream which he had nourished since long time has no doubt fulfilled.
